Neither victim was involved in the altercation that led to the shooting, police said.The incident occurred around 10:50 p.m. at Old Settlers Park after a fight broke out between two groups during the annual festival. In addition to the two fatalities, 14 people were injured in the shooting.”Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the tragic loss of innocent lives and the injuries sustained by several others in Saturday’s senseless act of violence,”

Round Rock Police Chief Allen Banks said in a statement. “Our deepest condolences go out to the families affected by this tragedy. We are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our community and will work tirelessly to bring those responsible to justice.”RELATED | Police continue searching for Round Rock shooting suspectRound Rock detectives are currently interviewing witnesses, analyzing evidence, and pursuing leads in the ongoing investigation. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect or suspects involved.Police are also requesting that anyone with photos or video evidence of the incident upload them to a dedicated online portal. More information will be provided as it becomes available, the department said.
